1302. Martin Bird Hill was born on 15 Jun 1860 in Larwill, Whitley County, Indiana. He appeared on the census in 1880 in home of parent. He died on 28 Aug 1948 in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon. He died at the County Poor Farm. He was buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Eugene, Lane County, Oregon. Martin gave himself the middle name of "Bird."

He was married to Hattie St German on 18 Mar 1890 in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon. Martin Bird Hill and Hattie St German had the following children:

2278 i. (infant) Hill died a few days old. He was born in Wisconsin. He was buried in Lorain Cemetery, Lorain Township, Polk County, Wisconsin. He is buried in Block A, Lot 19, in the northwest 6 feet; no marker.

He was married to Julia Pettijohn (daughter of Francis Pettijohn and Mary ---) in 1897. He was divorced from Julia Pettijohn between 1904 and 1911. Julia Pettijohn was born on 23 Sep 1881 in Shakopee, Scott County, Minnesota. She died on 28 Jan 1964 in Amery, Lincoln Township, Polk County, Wisconsin. She was buried in Amery Cemetery, Amery, Lincoln Township, Polk County, Wisconsin. Martin Bird Hill and Julia Pettijohn had the following children:
