She was born October 24, 1905 in Fayette County, the only child of Ward and Maude (Pearson) Sheley, who preceded her in death. Her family moved to Jamestown in 1918.
She was graduate of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, and Columbia University, New York City. She taught music in public schools for forty-one years. She was member of the Jamestown United Methodist Church, participating in the choir, and as Sunday School pianist.
She was member of the Delta Omricon National Society, the President's Club of Miami University, the Greene County Retired Teachers Organization, and the Senior Citizens of Jamestown.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 28 at 2 p.m. at the Powers Funeral Home, Jamestown, with Rev. Duane Kemerly officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, Dona requested contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Jamestown United Methodist Church.
She was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Fayette County, Ohio. (66)
