FOURTH GENERATION50. Harriet Sheley was born about 1810 in Virginia. She appeared on the census in 1850 in home of parent. She appeared on the census in 1860 in Silver Creek Township, Greene County, Ohio. Harriett may well be a daughter-in-law and the wife of an unidentified son who died before 1850. There are unidentified children listed with her in the 1850 and 1860 census. They are Harlin (b. abt 1838) and Manerva (b. abt 1843). There was a marriage in Greene County, Ohio, of Noah Shely and Isabella Bedinger on 30 Mar 1837. There was also a marriage of Noah Sheeley and Harriet Williams in Greene County on 20 Apr 1842. Noah could be the father of both children while Isabella Bedinger is the mother of Harlin and Harriet Williams is the mother of Manerva. According to the Robinson History of Greene County, Noah was the son of Benjamin Sheley and removed to Michigan. Either the Robinson History is wrong or the above speculation is wrong. Some note and correspondence
indicate that William Ludlow Sheley was the father of Harlan (and possibly Minerva).
