Deed. John Gyer to Isaac Shipler
This indenture made this sixteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred & ten between John Gyer of Rostraver Township in the County
of Westmoreland & Commonwealth of Pennsylvania farmer and Nancy is wife of
the one part & Isaac Shipler of the same place of the other part witnesseth
that the said John Gyer & Nancy his wife for & in consideration of the
sum of six hundred dollars to them in hand paid at or before the ensealing &
delivery hereof the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained
& sold aliened enfeoffed released & confirmed unto the said Isaac Shipler
his heirs executors administrators or assigns all that piece of land situate
in the township & County aforesaid it being a part of the same tract of land
for which a patent or confirmation was granted unto Casper Gyer the third day
of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven thousand seven hundred
& eighty seven & enroled in the Roles Office of the State of Pennsylvania
[page 124] in Patent Book no. 11 page 2 whereas the said Casper Gyer in his last
will & testament being dated the ninth day of November in the year one thousand
eight hundred four & recorded in the Office for Recording of Wills in County
aforesaid reference being there the said will more fully appear & as he willed
his land generally among his children the hereafter mentioned five part fell
in his share of the said John Gyer Beginning at a post in the original line joining
land with Stephen Hill Jr. running through the original tract by land of Daniel
Gyer South eighty six degrees East eighty nine perches & four tenths to a
post joining land with Georg Gyer running the same South sixty two degrees East
fifty one perches to a post in the original line thence with the same South sixteen
degrees West one hundred & fifteen perches & five tenths to a post by
land of Joseph Becket thence by land of Joseph Hill North fifty six degrees West
sixty seven perches to a red oak thence by same North twenty six degrees West
one hundred & twelve perches to the place of beginning containing sixty four
acres & one hundred & fifty two perches strict measure together with
all & singular the rights members privileges liberties hereditaments &
appurtenances whatsoever there unto belonging the reversions remainders rents
issues & profits thereof to have & to hold the said hereby granted premises
with the appurtenances & every part & parcel thereof unto him the said
Isaac Shipler his heirs executors administrators or assigns to the only proper
use benefit & behoof of him the said Isaac Shipler his heirs & assigns
forever & the said John Gyer & Nancy his wife & their heirs the said
hereby granted & bargained premises shall warrant & forever defend against
all persons claiming or to claim by through or under them or their heirs &
against all persons lawfully claiming the same. In witness whereof the parties
to these presents have interchangeably set their hands & seals the day &
year first above written.

age & as the law directs they do acknowledge the foregoing indenture to be
their voluntary act & deed & desires the same may be recorded as such.
