She was married to Orville Harris Scott (son of John Albert Scott and Ida R. Adams). Orville Harris Scott was born on 26 May 1894 in Ohio. ⁽³⁵⁰²⁾ He died on 3 Apr 1957.⁽³⁵⁰³⁾ He served in the military during World War I. ⁽³⁵⁰⁴⁾ He was a pfc in Ohio Company E, 346th Infantry 91st Division and spent many months at the front lines near Mousse-Argonne and Chateau-Thierry in Frances. He was reported missing in action and it was many months before his family learned that he was alive. His mother received a few government payments before proof came through that he had survived. He was buried in New Hope Lutheran Cemetery, near Adamsville, Muskingum County, Ohio. ⁽³⁵⁰⁵⁾ He was a paint contractor and custodian of the Rambe apartments in Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio. Helen Ruth Winn and Orville Harris Scott had the following children:
