Thomas was born by b1743-1750. (Census says by 1755.) He witnessed deeds in 1764 & 1767 for his father Abraham. Thomas was older than his siblings. His son Coleman was old enough to serve as guardian of Thomas' younger brothers. Thomas was dead by the 1810 census, when his son Coleman appears as head of household. According to the estate records of Abraham in 1794, Thomas had already received his share of property by gift. By 1796 Thomas had conveyed his land inheritance to Coleman.

1790 census shows Abraham as the only male in the household. Also shows 3 females including wife. These are probably Elizabeth (2nd wife) and two daughters Margaret and Susannah
