The date is shown as "8 1837" and it would appear that the name of the month was omitted, as in other records the author has spelled out the names of the months, sent by Paul Traversy in reply to my letter of 4 April 1977. He enclosed photocopies of pages 161-164, 168-169, 302 from Les Registres de la Gaspesie (1752-1850) by Rev. Patrice Gallant.
