The orgin of this family name is unknown. One of the earlest records is
census records of 1810,1820 and 1830 census in VA.
It appears that the oldest child of James Daylong was Caleb who with
his wife Jemima show up in Kansas records. One of their children, a Son, John Janes. was my Great Grandfather. He did service in the Union Army. |
