Mrs. Ann Moon Funeral Today

Aged Resident of Owens Cross Roads Succumbs To Flue and Pneumonia

 

Mrs. Lucy Ann MOON, 91, wife of John P. MOON, deceased Civil War veteran, died yesterday at her home in Owens Cross Roads, after several month’s illness of flu and pneumonia.

 

Funeral services will be held this morning at 11 o’clock from the Methodist Church in Owens Cross Roads, with the Rev. H. HUDSON officiating.  Interment will be made in Moon Cemetery near Owens Cross Roads, with Laughlin in charge of arrangements.

 

Mrs. Moon is survived by three sons, J. O. MOON, J. R. MOON, both of Owens Cross Roads, and W. W. MOON, Huntsville, Route 1; two daughters, Mrs. E. L. HORNBUCKLE and Mrs. J. T. CRAFT, both of Huntsville; several grandchildren and one niece, Mrs. Jeff BENNETT, Gurley.

 

She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and had made her home in Owens Cross Roads since the close of the Civil War. 

 

Active pallbearers will be selected from her grandchildren.  Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. L. K. KENNEDY, Mrs. F. R. GLASS, Mrs. Mose CRAFT, Mrs. John SNEAD, Mrs. A. F. BAKER, and Mrs. Bertha DONALDSON.
