Death Claims J. M. M’Duff

Rites Held Today For Aged Man Of Owens Cross Roads

 

James Milton McDUFF, 80, died at his home on Route 1, Owens Cross Roads, last night at 6:30 o’clock.

 

Mr. McDuff was active and healthy during his entire lifetime.  He was constantly seen riding a horse when he had business in Huntsville, or elsewhere.  He was distantly related to Sheriff McDUFF, of Birmingham.

 

Funeral services were held at Owens Cross Roads Methodist Church, this afternoon at 2 o’clock, with the Rev. W. W. MOON officiating.  Burial followed in Moon Cemetery, with Laughlin-Service in charge.

 

Surviving are the widow; one daughter, Mrs. O. E. MOON, of Huntsville; two sons, Murphy C. McDUFF, Owens Cross Roads, and S. Gordon McDUFF, Decatur; five grandchildren, and seven nieces and nephews; one sister, Mrs. F. M. REESE, Birmingham; and one brother, R. L. McDUFF, Forth Worth, Texas.
