NEW HOPE – Mrs. Theo Elma COWAN, 73, of 1338 Low Gap
Road, New Hope, died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at
the Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Dewayne MARTIN and the Rev. Gary
PASEUR officiating.
Burial will be in the Moon Cemetery with New Hope
Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include two daughters, Rosa CRABTREE and
Dorothy SMITH, both of New Hope; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral for Joe Ben COWAN,
54, who died Friday at Huntsville Hospital, will be at 2:30 p.m. today at the
Bethelhem Baptist Church in New Hope with Rev. John HUNT and Rev. Harry CRAFT
officiating.
Survivors include the widow,
Theo E. COWAN; one stepson, Delbert RIGGINS; two stepdaughters, Dorothy RIGGINS
and Rosa Mae DUNN; a sister. Mrs. Bertie GLOVER, Flintville, Tenn.; five
brothers, Harry COWAN, E. W. COWAN, Duke COWAN, all of Owens Cross Roads;
Gordon COWAN of New Hope and Jim COWAN of Huntsville; several nieces and
nephews.
Active pallbearers will be
Vernon COWAN, James Earl COWAN, Roy COWAN, William COWAN, Ben CLARK and O’Neal
MARTIN.
Honorary pallbearers will be outside carpenters and masons of Redstone Arsenal. Butler Brothers funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
