Child Killed By Lightning

Struck Today While Playing In Yard Near New Hope

 

A 10 year-old child, Edna RICH, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed RICH, was struck by lightning and instantly killed at the home near New Hope, today.

 

The child was playing in the backyard near a clothes line when the bolt stuck her, shortly before noon.  She died instantly.  The lightning came during a brief thundershower.

 

Surviving are the parents, two brothers and two sisters, and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Will RICH of New Hope, and Mr. and Mrs. Dan C. HALL of Chattanooga.
