Mrs. Ethel Sherman

 

Mrs. Ethel SHERMAN, 84, of Route 2, Gurley, died Friday in Huntsville Hospital.  The funeral will be Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church.

 

Burial will be in Moon Cemetery with New Hope Funeral Home in charge.  The Rev. Harold OWENS and the Rev. Frank GWATHNEY will officiate.

 

Survivors include seven sons, Boyd RODGERS and Thomas RODGERS, both of Gurley, John RODGERS of Chicago, James RODGERS of Anniston, Modell RODGERS of Woodville, Henry RODGERS of New Market and Riley RODGERS of Michigan; three daughters, Mrs. Irene PRUITT and Mrs. Thelma COWAN, both of Owens Cross Roads, and Mrs. Mildred PFEFFER of Minnesota; two sisters, Mrs. Argie PINKSTON and Mrs. Lori PHILLIPS, both of Texas; 37 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Will R. RODGERS, 70, of Route 1, Owens Cross Roads, will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. CST at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in the Cave Springs community, with the Rev. John HUNT and the Rev. J. G. MOORE officiating.  Burial will follow in Moon Cemetery.

 

The body will be at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Thelma COWAN, Owens Cross Roads, until time for services.

 

Mr. Rodgers, a retired farmer, died last night at the Huntsville Hospital after a short illness.

 

Besides Mrs. Cowan, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Irene PRUITT of Owens Cross Roads and Mrs. Mildred PFEFFER of Chicago, Ill.; seven sons, Boyd RODGERS and Thomas RODGERS of Route 2, Gurley, John RODGERS of Owens Cross Roads, James E. RODGERS of Fort McClellan, Ala., and Odell RODGERS of Chicago.
