Mrs. Baker Dies of Heart Attack

Husband Is Member of Airport Authority

 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Avis Truitt BAKER, 37, of Owens Cross Roads, will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. from Laughlin-Service Chapel, with the Rev. Jack CAIN and the Rev. Harry MULLINS Officiating.

 

Burial will be in Moon Cemetery at Owens Cross Roads.

 

Mrs. Baker died last night at Huntsville Hospital following a heart attack.  She was active in civic affairs in Owens Cross Roads, and was a member of the Owens Cross Roads Methodist Church.

 

Her husband, Robert BAKER, operates a store and gin in Owens Cross Roads, and is a member of the Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority.

 

Other survivors include two sons, Bob BAKER and Steven BAKER; a daughter, Anna Louise BAKER; her parents, Mr. And Mrs. C. J. TRUITT; a brother, Delton TRUITT; and two sisters, Mrs. J. O. KIDD and Mrs. Jim THOMAS.

 

Active pallbearers will be Bruce MAPLES, Albert H. WOODY, A. G. OSBORNE, Albert BUTLER Jr., James R. SPIVEY and J. B. BURLESON.

 

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. J. L. CARPENTER, Dr. Robert AUSTIN, J. E. HUMPHREY, Dean MURPHEE and members of the Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority.
