Harry E. Maples
Harry E. MAPLES, 80, of Rt. 2, Gurley, died Tuesday night at Huntsville
Hospital.
A funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Cave Springs Baptist Church
with the Rev. Ralph STEPHENS and the Rev. Roy STONE officiating. Burial will be in Moon Cemetery with
Laughlin-Service Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cora Lee MAPLES; five daughters, Mrs.
Floyd MYERS of Harvest, Mrs. Lizzie IKARD of Gurley, Rt. 2., Mrs. Herbert MOON
of Huntsville, Mrs. Ralph SALMON of Owens Cross Roads and Mrs. Marvin SALMON of
Gurley; three sons, the Rev. P. E. MAPLES of Union Grove, J. C. MAPLES and
James E. MAPLES, both of Owens Cross Roads; two brothers, Jeff MAPLES and Henry
D. MAPLES, both of Owens Cross Roads, 38 grandchildren.

OWENS CROSS ROADS – Mrs. Cora Lee MAPLES, 94, of Owens Cross Roads died
Sunday at her residence. The funeral
will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Cave Springs Baptist Church with the Rev.
Rodney YARBROUGH and the Rev. Jerry BREWER officiating.
Burial will be in the Moon Cemetery with New Hope Funeral Home in
charge.
Survivors include three sons, Posey MAPLES of Athens and J. C. MAPLES
and James MAPLES, both of New Hope; five daughters, Lorene MYERS of Harvest,
Lizzie IKARD and Lola MOON, both of Huntsville, and Amy SALMON and Kathleen
SALMON, both of Owens Cross Roads; a brother, W. H. MOON of Birmingham; three
sisters, Laura BROWN of Birmingham, Nannie CONNALLY of Huntsville and Ann
TAYLOR of Michigan; 37 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and 33 great-great-grandchildren.
