OWENS CROSS ROADS – Charlie Preston COLLINS, 84, of 266 Miller Lane, Owens Cross Roads, died Sunday at his residence.  The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard ANDERSON, the Rev. Oliver RUTLEDGE and the Rev. Francis DUNN officiating.

 

Burial will be in the Moon Cemetery.  Mr. Collins, a native of Marshall County, was retired from Redstone Arsenal.  He was a veteran of World War II.

 

Survivors include his wife, Tressie L. COLLINS; two sons, Donald Ray COLLINS of New Market and Terry Lynn COLLINS of Owens Cross Roads; and a grandchild.

 

Visitation will be today from 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Tressie Collins

 

NEW MARKET – Tressie Craft COLLINS, 78, died Monday at a local hospital.  The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James HARRELL, the Rev. Shelby GURLEY and the Rev. Richard ANDERSON officiating. 

 

Burial will be in Moon Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Collins was a native of Madison County, a retired nurse and a member of Brownsboro Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Preston COLLINS. Survivors include two sons, Donald Ray COLLINS of New Market and Terry Lynn COLLINS of Owens Cross Roads; one grandson, Chris COLLINS of Atlanta; and two great-granddaughters.

 

Visitation will be today from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
