A funeral will be held Thursday for J. W. COBB, 84, of Owens Cross Roads, who died last night at 10:30 o’clock at his residence.

The service will be at 2:30 p.m. at Cave Spring Baptist Church, Rev. Roy C. STONE and Rev. J. E. JONES will officiate. The body will be at the home of a daughter, Mrs. R. S. RICH, at Owens Cross Roads until time of service. Butler Brothers Funeral Home of New Hope will be in charge of arrangements for burial at Baker Cemetery in Owens Cross Roads.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Hattie Ann Buford COBB; seven daughters, Mrs. Mary Ethel MARKS of Los Angeles, Mrs. R. S. RICH of Owens Cross Roads, Mrs. Dewey MPALES of New Hope, Mrs. A. J. SILLS and Mrs. O. R. GIBBS of New Orleans, Mrs. Ellis BOUNDS of Somerall, Miss., Mrs. Howard BAKER of Hobbs Island; two sons, W. I. COBB of Pensacola, Grady COBB of Gurley; one brother, J. I. COBB of Gurley; two sisters, Mrs. Jack ESSLINGER of Gurley and Mrs. Archie BRAZELTON of Huntsville.

Active pallbearers will be Howard CLARK, Odell MARTIN, George LEMLEY, Royce STONE, D. C. DRAKE and Bruce MAPLES.

Honorary pallbearers will be A. H. ELLETT, George BEARD, Laymon KENNEDY, Lonnie CRAFT, J. G. WALLS, Dr. J. L. CARPENTER, Maples MOON, Albert BURKS and Allen MOON.
