Edward Buford Dies At Home
Funeral Services Tomorrow At
Merrimack Baptist Church
Edward
D. BUFORD, 70, died at 3:30 o’clock this morning at his residence, 141 Pike
Street. Funeral Service will be held
tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Merrimack Baptist Church. The Revs. C.
E. CALVERT and Morris LAND will officiate.
Burial will be in the Neals Chapel Cemetery with Laughlin-Service in
charge.
Active
pallbearers will be C. M. BUFORD, Milas BUFORD, Jr., Marvin BUFORD, Odell
BUFORD and Lloyd SMITH. Honorary
pallbearers will be Gordon HUNT, Will ESSLINGER, Frank GEIGER, George BETRUS,
Claude ANDERSON, Hosea WATSON, Spurgeon HENDRICKS, Buford WILKES, Dell ALLEN,
Lowe OLDFIELD, Sam RAINEY, W. D. CHURCH, Eugene RIGGINS, Dr. J. E. WHITAKER,
Milton TATE and Charles LYONS.
Surviving
are the widow, Mrs. Theobia Baker BUFORD; two daughters, Miss Opheila BAKER and
Mrs. George MEADOWS; three sons, Jesse BUFORD of Opp, Ala., and Bud BUFORD and
Aubrey BUFORD, Merrimack; one sister, Mrs. Emma FEARS of Chicago; three
brothers, C. W. BUFORD and M. J. BUFORD, Owens Cross Roads, and S. F. BUFORD, Hazel Green, and eight grandchildren.
Mr. Buford was a member of the Merrimack
Baptist Church.
