Death Claims Mrs. L. F. Ikard

Aged Owens Cross Roads Woman To Be Buried Tomorrow

 

Mrs. Louiza Fannie IKARD, 77-year-old widow of Saint IKARD, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nannie COWAN, Owens Cross Roads, Route 1, at 2 o’clock this morning.

 

Mrs. Ikard is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Cowan, Mrs. Savannah PENING, New Hope, Mrs. Effie CLARK, Falkville and Mrs. Annie BROOKS, Huntsville; three sons, Elijah IKARD, Mountain Home, Tenn., Dixson IKARD, Madison and Whitt IKARD, Huntsville; three sisters, Mrs. Martha ESSLINGER, Owens Cross Roads, Mrs. Maggie HORNBUCKLE, New Hope and Mrs. Eda DAMRON, Cherry Valley, Ark.; one brother, Jim COBB, Monrovia.

 

Funeral services will be conducted at Byrd Cemetery near New Hope at 10 o’clock tomorrow morning.  The Revs. Roy STONE and Henry BRANNUM will officiate.  Interment will be made there with Laughlin-Service in charge of arrangements.

 

Active pallbearers will be Dr. J. H. SENTELL, Rev. S. KEEL, R. H. BAKER, A. H. ELLETT, R. M. CRAFT, John SNEED, Mose CRAFT and Frank SHARP.

 

Honorary pallbearers will include R. W. HONEA, Floyd GLOVER, Lonza KENNEDY, Harry MAPLES, Wade GLOVER, Charley CLARK, Elbert VANN, J. W. CHANDLER, Floyd BAKER, Gordon WILLIAMS, Ed KILGORE, Bob BRAZELTON, H. W. GLOVER and W. W. FRYAR.

 

The deceased was a member of the Methodist Church.
