May Walls

May Bell Byrd WALLS of Big Cove passed away Saturday. She was 94. Mrs. Walls was a native of Madison County and was a member of Big Cove Holiness Church since 1923.

Mrs. Walls was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy W. WALLS and her parents, Claude BYRD and Pearl Rhodes BYRD. Survivors include her three daughters, Martha Adelle LANIER, Lillian (Robert) FORTNER and Ella (Kenneth) NEAL, all of Big Cove; two sons, U.W. "Sonny" (Anne) WALLS of Tyrone, Ga., and Roy (Kathy) WALLS of Big Cove; foster son, William SHUTTERS of Benson, N.C.; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; special friends, Bud NEAL and Lucille NEAL, Sarah ELLETT and Layne ELLETT and Virginia PINKERTON.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today at Big Cove Holiness Church with Bro. Oakley DRAKE and Bro. Dennis McANALLY officiating. Burial will follow at Green Valley Cemetery.
