o Note: Eli Barker is the son of Peter Barker (Beaker), who m. Ruth Barton, daughter of George Barton. George Barton b. bet. 1720 and 1731 in Hunterdon Co., NJ; and settled in Bedford Co. PA in 1790.
- 1810 – Elizah Barker in Greene Co., Richill Twsp, PA
- 1820 – Elijah Barker, Mead, Belmont, OH
- 1830 – Elijah Barker, York, Belmont, OH
An article re: Sarah Barker Brandon provides that their father, Elijah Barker, who removed from Eastern Maryland to the Ohio Valley about 1810. Elijah Barker signed for Sarah Barker’s marriage to Charles Brandon in 1835 in Belmont Co., Ohio. (Notes from Kim Dressel)
In 1860 Tabitha Peiat Barker is recorded in Richland, Belmont, Ohio in the County Infirmary, age 84, which places her birth abt. 1776
Martha Ann Barker Lucas is recorded as Indian in the 1850 census, Belmont, Ohio. An article re: Sarah Ann Barker Brandon, Martha’s sister, states her mother is said to have been full blood Indian. If that is the case, then Tabitha Peiat is likely Indian, or part Indian

SAMUEL SEDAM, the youngest son of Samuel T. Sedam, was born, July 27, 1857, in Washington (now Brady) township, Lycoming county. He received a common school education and was reared on the farm. Upon reaching his majority he took charge of the homestead and has ever since farmed the same. He was married, December 21, 1882, to Maggie O., daughter of Samuel Dunbar, and to this union were born four children: John Faries; Lester D.; Samuel T., and Frank M. Mr. Sedam has filled the office of township auditor, is a member of Elimsport Council, O. U. A. M., and belongs to Washington Alliance, No. 175.
