Joseph Lizotte

He was a "teamster" and died in a work accident. Linda Lizotte says a"logging accident". Madeleine Bournival writes: "The main reason of hisdeath is because he received the "wrong" blood when they gave him atransfusion. [If] this accident had been in 2004, he wouldn't have died.In those years they were not aware of blood categories. However ,because of Ti-Blanc's death, my grandmother gave birth to Simon and I amalive. That's what we call the "mystery" of life." Albina was 24 yearsold at the time. "Love story - She was devastated with grief, she lovedhim so much." Note from Madeleine Bournival, January 2004.

"Love story - [Albina] made a trip in Canada at the age of 26 years oldat St. Barnabe, Shawnigan. She met Wellie Bournival, my grandfather, whowas 29 years old. They got married and lived in St Barnabe (they had afew animals, and a store and post office) up to 1925." Wellie took careof his 3 step sons (Armand, Wilfred, and Alphonse) and his own and onlychild Simon (my dad)."

Note from Madeleine Bournival 2/14/2004: "She was filled with love. Shewas born for Happiness. Despite many ordeals in her life she never gaveup. She never complained. She was a person with deep faith. I oftentimesthink of her again. She died on Feb 25, 1972. I had the lucky chance toknow her till I was 27. I visited her quite often. When she was dying,I used to go to hospital almost every day to make her eat. After anoperation "stones in liver", she stopped eating...She remained athospital in bed for 2 months before dying."
