Granddaughter of William McKinney Piatt and Rebecca Heston McClintock, his wife; William Bush Overfield and Matilda A. Townsend, his wife. Gr.-granddaughter of William Piatt and Mary Brady, his wife; John Townsend and Affa Jenkins, his wife. Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of John Piatt and Jane Williamson, his wife, m. 1763; John Brady, Jr., and Jane McCall, his wife; Zepheniah Townsend and Mary Harding, his wife; Benjamin Jenkins, Jr., and Elizabeth Carey, his wife. John Brady, (1733-79), was captain of the Twelfth Pennsylvania Rifles at Brandywine, where he was wounded. John Brady, Jr., (1761-1809), served with his father at Brandywine. Stephen Harding, (1723-89), was a member of the Committee of Inspection of Westmoreland county and commanded a company under Col. Zebulon Butler. Also Nos. 13522, 15279, 17172, 18278. John Piatt, (1740-1819), was a minute man in the Middlesex county, New Jersey, militia. He was born in Holland, lived in New Jersey during the war, removed to Somerset Co., Pa., where he died.
