PLAC Buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Morgan Twp, Gallia Co., OHInformation on Samuel from John Wilcox: "Samuel came to Gallia Co. 1834 (from 1882 History of Gallia Co.). He was an entryman on
forty acres in the SE quarter of Sec. 8, land that, later, was part of the George W. Wilcox farm, and, later still, part of the Lew Jones farm. He was principal creditor to Alfred Wilcox (1795) at
the time of Alfred's death in 1847, and in 1849 he purchased Alfred's one-hundred twenty acres in Sec. 16 from the estate (deed in files). Joyce Zeigler finds him in Huntington Twp for 1850 and 1860
Census and in Jackson Co., Liberty Tnshp for 1870 and 1880 Census"
