A story was told about Milt Hamrick's size and strength. He had been hired by Sam Goggle to build fences around his farm. Goggle had furnished some of the timber for the fence rails, but Milton had to cut the rest and carry them to his job site. Milt Hamrick cut and carried eleven foot fence rails all day for several days until he had what he needed. Three men tried to pick up and carry one log, Milton Hamrick had carried easily. They couldn't do it.
