Immigration Office, Port
The Hooghley arrived from
She was commanded by Mr Henry R
Rich, and Mr Robert Robertson
was the surgeon-superintendent.
Fifteen deaths and seven births were the casualties at sea. This vessel
also arrived in excellent order,
and the immigrants were generally well selected. Diarrhoea and
bronchitis prevailed at the early part of
the voyage, caused by the severity of the weather in January.
