When last heard of, that he died after a few hours illness and was attended by a Mr Hardy, surgeon; who stated his belief, from what he heard that he was possessed of a little property in Adelaide and also in the Bank of New South Wales, Melbourne

Formerly travelled with Mr Hall, the Polyphonist, and Mr Lawrence, Theatrical Agent with whom he is supposed to have left Melbourne

It has been recently reported to his friends that he has since been in the Mounted Police, Sydney. Description 5ft 8 or 9 inch., dark brown hair and whiskers, long features and long nose, has a slight impediment in his speech, present age 33 yrs

When last heard of, Hitchcock was residing at Pennington Tce, North Adelaide in 1853. Mr Mocatto who returned to England in 1855 states he had expressed some desire to go to the Victoria gold fields. If living will be about 25 yrs of age

He was employed in the Bank of England, and after his arrival in this colony was engaged at the Trial Sawmills, near Ballarat. He is supposed to have gone either to New Zealand or overland to Adelaide.

a native of Logiealmond, near Crieff, Perthshire, Scotland who sailed from Liverpool in January, per ship Sir Charles Forbes, and arrived in Adelaide on the 9th June 1839. Had a farm at Encounter Bay and was living with one William McFarlane in 1842. Was last heard of on 6th December 1846 stating that he was leaving Adelaide next day for Sydney, to farm a new station. Had a small farm (about 10 acres) near the Half Way house, Port Road, and had also been seen working on the Sandhurst Railway, near the Deep Creek Bridge, about 20 miles from Melbourne. Letters from Scotland for him were addressed to the c/- Mr Moorhouse, Protector of Aborigines, Adelaide. Thomas Murray was personally known to Mr Alexander McCullogh, farmer, Gottlieb’s Wells near Adelaide. If Thomas Murray was alive on the 9th March 1863 he will have succeeded to the property of his brother, John Murray

He is the youngest brother of the late Dr John Neilson of Sydney.  Discharged from the Spec in 1861, engaged on the Gem and discharged. 1862

A conciliatory message from his friends awaits him at the office of the Chief Commissioner of Police
