John Beke, 1st and last Lord Beke was born before 1230.1 He was the son of Walter Beke and Eve de Grey.1 He died between 1303 and 1304, without surviving male issue.1

John Beke, 1st and last Lord Beke lived at Eresby, Lincolnshire, England.1 Between 1275 and 1276 he had a licence to crenellate his manor house of Eresby.1 He was created 1st Lord Beke [England by writ] on 24 June 1295.1 His last will was dated 18 July 1301 directing his burial to be in the Abbey of Kirkstede.1

On his death, any barony created by his writ of 1295 would have fallen into abeyance.1
