Ermengarde of Anjou (c. 1018 – 18 March 1076), daughter of Count Fulk III of Anjou and Hildegarde of Sundgau, was born in Angers and was murdered at the Church of Fleurey-sur-Ouche, Côte-d'Or.[1]
From her first marriage c. 1035 to Geoffrey, Count of Gâtinais (in French Geoffroy) (c. 1000 – 1 April 1046), called Ferréol and sometimes known as Aubri, also Count of Château-Landon from 1026 and son of one Bouchard, Count (of Gâtinais), who died by 1026, she had the following children:
Hildegarde de Château-Landon (* c. 1032 – after 1060), married c. 1060 to Joscelin I, Lord of Courtenay (* c. 1034 – after 1065)
Geoffrey III, Count of Anjou
Fulk IV, Count of Anjou
From her second marriage to Robert I, Duke of Burgundy she had one daughter:
Hildegard (c. 1056–1104), married Duke William VIII of Aquitaine
From an apparent out-of-wedlock union with Reinfred de Taillebois she had Ivo de Taillebois (c. 1036 – 1094). Ivo being styled 'de Taillebois' and not 'de Gatinais' argues against his being a son of Ermengarde and Geoffrey II de Gatinais and thus likely the bastard half brother of Fulk IV "Rechine", 7th Count d'Anjou (1043–1109).
