Note on Husband: Samuel ALLEN
came over with the first settlers of Boston in 1628. In 1635 it is recorded that he was a freeman in Braintree. His first wife, Ann, d. Sept., 1641. His second wife was Mrs. Mar-
garet Lamb, widow of Edward Lamb. Samuel Allen had a grant of twenty-
eight acres of land in Braintree for seven persons, in 1640. He died in
Braintree, 1669.6
