Anthony, christened 16 November 1540 in Cropredy; married Elizabeth Wallis 29 September 1573 in Cropredy; buried 28 November 1618 in Cropredy. “Anthony Hunt was a weaver and lived in a cottage which had land on part of a lay impropriator’s rectorial tithes estate. Anthony Hunt was born is 1540, died aged seventy-eight after a life of farming and weaving. He had been able to take a part in the town affairs for he leased a parcel of land. He married Elizabeth Wallis who could be a member of the blacksmith family of Great Bourton.” The Town of Cropredy
