Ship's manifest of the "Increase" shows Thomas, his wife Frances (Moody) Kilbourn, son John and four daughters made the Atlantic passage in April of 1635. He is listed as a husbandman or farmer, and was one of the founding party of Wethersfield. He was killed by Indians 5 years after moving to the New World.

Thomas Kilbourne (age 550 and his wife Francis Moody Kilborne (age 50) and their son John Kilborne (age 10) sailed on the ship Increase. The Increase left London, England Apr 1635 with her master Robert Lea, arriving in Masachusetts Bay. Thomas Kilborne was a husbandman from Wood Ditton, Cambridgeshire, bound for Wethersfield Conn.
