gent. Casco, possessed and island in Casco Bay in 1637 of Cleave. Pet. of daus. Elizabeth Clarke and Ann Graves to Andros, 1687. Deposed in the case of Cleve vs. Winter in 1640. Sold fowl to Winter sam year.

Took oath of allegiance to Mass. govt 13 July 1658.

His widow Elizabeth gave land 1 March 1662 to Thaddeus Clark who had married her daughter Elizabeth. She afterward married _____ Harvy, and as his widow sold land in 1681. She gave land 8 May 1667 to Thomas Brackett of Casco who had married her daughter Mary Mitton. Nathaniel Mitten, called a grandson of Cleve. 1

their marriage was not a happy match, as her father wrote on 1 May 1647 that "there are also some adultries committed and yet unpunished whereof...that of Mr. Michell Mitton and John Sears committed with Mary Martin"
