Elizabeth Watts came from Hanover, VA to Campbell Co., KY in about 1805,
he is first listed on the 1810 Census for Campbell Co., KY. Many
Dudley Brown Ellis's are listed for Campbell County. Sons and grandsons
of the original. Many people have tried to find the first Dudley
Brown's parents, some
thinking that Thomas Ellis of Hanover was his father, others think he is
his brother. Court documents do not state the relationships, just
dates we received from an e mail. "My
ELLIS info comes from family research, documented marriage, death
records & a book called The ELLIS Family. Thomas ELLIS & Mary Polly
BALLARD are the parents of my ancestor Bentley Brown ELLIS m. Cynthia
Ann GARDNER 1841 ( by memory) Albemarle Co. VA. We linked Bentley as s/o
Thomas ELLIS through Thomas ELLIS' son James F. ELLIS' diary while in
POW prison in N.C. In the diary he mentions brother Bentley. We linked
Dudley Brown ELLIS to be the s/o Thomas ELLIS by Dudley's Rev. War data
found in pension books where he mentions brother Thomas also married a
WATTS. We are still looking for that ELLIS/WATTS marriage abt 1796.

I have been able to find the parents and family
of Elizabeth Watts. We have a letter which says that Great great
grandmother Ellis was Yancy.

Ellis was a school teacher and daughter of Joseph Robert Ellis,
granddaughter of John Ellis, great granddaughter of Dudley Brown Ellis,
great great granddaughter of _______Yancy Ellis.
Grace Ellis was a great aunt of the author,
who died 1 Nov 1919 in California, Campbell Co KY. This is how Van's
mother and I analysis/found this letter and additional information given
here. .
Addressed to her Dad, who died in 1918. Mr. J. R.
Ellis (Joseph Robert Ellis), Lair, KY Harrison Co. Letter was written
in 1912 or 1913. Lair, Harrison Co., Kentucky coordinates are
