Sand still holding the warmth
gathered throughout the day
surf crawling up the beach
sandpipers scurry to get away
Seagulls glide and dip on a breeze
like air dancers, not making a sound
The sun glides across the sky
kissing the sea as it slowly slides down
Like a silver gossamer scarf
across waves, the moonlight drapes
under velvet skies where stars were tossed
a night made for romantic escapades
Come my love and lie with me
in the warmth of the sand
emotions transcending erotic bliss
explored with passions hand
Rapturous warmth will cover us
as surf slowly kisses our length
with foamy fingers caressing each curve
softly, then gaining strength
Moonlight enfolding us
in an amorous golden glow
glistening in the drops of moisture
as they slide like silk to our toes
The seductive songs of the sea
over us hover
sandy warmth beneath us
on this night for lovers

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void;
and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."
