This was a charcoal drawing found in the attic of an old house. The names
Melvin DeMerchant & Mary McLaughlin were written on the back.
The people who found it brought it to Vaughan DeMerchant to identify.
It is now in the possession of Stephen DeMerchant in Perth-Andover.
Melvin & Mary were married 17 September 1859 in Wicklow, NB.
They had 8 children:

Israel DeMerchant died young
