1. William Anderson¹ Poff, son of John Poff and Ruth Wilson, was born in VA 16 April 1830. Date from tombstone. He married twice. He married Ann Eliza Lee in Montgomery Co, VA, January 1851.⁽³⁾ Ann was born in VA ca 1830. Ann was the daughter of Matthew Lee and Doshia. Ann died before 1860. She was listed as a resident in the census report in Montgomery Co, VA, 1850. He married Talitha Cumi Scott in VA, ca 1861. Talitha was born in Giles Co, VA 24 May 1840. Date from tombstone. Talitha was the daughter of Isaac B. Scott and Mary "Polly" Harless.

Talitha died 25 May 1902 in Cabin Creek, Kanawha Co, WV, at 62 years of age.⁽⁴⁾ Her body was interred in Dry Branch, Kanawha Co, WV, Dry Branch Cemetery. Tombstone reads "Talitha C., wife of Wm. A. Poff, born May 24, 1840, died 25 May 1902."
