OBITUARY OF FREDERICK ERNEST McLEOD

FREDERICK McLEOD

Funeral service was held for Frederick Ernest McLeod, 85, in St. Hilda's Anglican Church in Savona yesterday, with Rev. N. Atkinson officiating. Interment was in the Savona Cemetery.

Mr. McLeod was born in Dalhousie, New Brunswick, May 4, 1883. He retired in Savona in 1950 and moved to Kamloops in 1968.

Mr. McLeod, who was a resident of 591 Royal Ave., died April 4.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel; five sons, Irven of Edmonton, Earl of Savona, Arthur of Delta, John of Chilliwack and Lawrence of Chetwynd; five daughters, Mrs. (Doris) LaBrier of Edmonton, Mrs. Joyce Florence of Kamloops, Mrs. Abbie Sutherland of Surrey, Mrs. Irene Embury of Campbell River and Mrs. Thelma Hansen of Campbell River; 32 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Mr. McLeod's five sons and Bob Kerr acted as pallbearers.

MABEL McLEOD

Funeral services will be conducted by Canon N. Atkinson tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. from St. Hilda's Anglican Church, Savona, for Mrs. Mabel Annie McLeod, who died in Surrey in her 75th year.

Mrs. McLeod is survived by five sons, Irven of Edmonton; Earl of Savona; Arthur of Delta; John of Chilliwack and Lawrence of Chetwynd; five daughters, Mrs. Doris LaBrier of Edmonton, Mrs. Joyce Florence of Kamloops; Mrs. Abbie Sutherland of Surrey; Mrs. Irene Embury and Mrs. Thelma Hansen, both of Campbell River; 32 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Savona Cemetery with Schoening's Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
