Will of Thomas Beatty (1876)


This my last will and testament of me Thomas Beatty of the Parish of Hampton County of Kings Province of New Brunswick made this nineteenth day of January 1876.

I hereby revoke all former wills and testaments heretofore at any time made by me.

I appoint as my Executors George A. Fowler of the Parish of Hampton County of Kings and my brother Noble Beatty of the Parish of Hampton County of Kings.

I give and bequeath to my wife Harriet Abigail Beatty (Fowler) all the Personal property which I die possessed after paying my just debts, besides having one third of all other property I die possessed during her life as allowed widows by law.

I give and devise to my son Josiah Beatty his heirs and assigns the farm which I die possessed he to support and send to school in the district which they now reside my sons George, William, Robert, Ward Beecher and Wallace Beatty until they are eighteen years old each. After each one of them arrives to that age he shall be at liberty to do for himself.

I bequeath to my daughter Margaret M. Beatty four dollars. To my sons Noble and James Beatty four dollars each.
