The DERBYSHIRE pages at GENUKI     An essential source of information for anyone who is researching aspects of their family history here in Derbyshire. The site contains a very comprehensive amount of very helpful material and I give it an absolute 'must be visited' recommendation.

ASHOVER - 'A Guide for Genealogists'     I am really so impressed by Rob Marriott's site. It contains an impressive variety of information all relevant to this Derbyshire village. It contains records of - Baptisms - Marriages - Burials -  Census - Directories - Photographs - History - Poems - Miscellany - Links - and a Message Board. Also full marks to Rob for presentation, excellent!

CRICH HERITAGE PARTNERSHIP     I am enthusiastic about the work of this group, of which I am pleased to be a member. Set up to help conserve the heritage of the Parish of Crich, and to seek ways by which people can be educated and informed about it, we hold regular monthly meetings, and have a very stimulating programme. DETHICK, LEA & HOLLOWAY - An Historic Parish    My other other web site. Lots of local history about this most fascinating place. Part of present day Holloway was at one time within the bounds of Crich Parish. The site will eventually contain a wide variety of information about the place and the people, the well-known and famous, such as Florence Nightingale, Anthony Babington etc.. also information about other slightly less well-known folk, but people without whom no village would exist. Some of the statistical pages will contain many names, details of occupations and other information of great interest to those who are researching their family history and who have connections here. Parish Registers will also be added gradually.

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL  For those contemplating a visit to Derbyshire checking out this site could prove very beneficial. Apart from travel information, this large site has internal links to articles about places in Derbyshire and a lot of other interesting detail, with contact details for the Derbyshire County Record Office and Local Studies Department.

WIRKSWORTH     If you want to see the 'Magnum Opus' of Derbyshire Parish sites, this is it. Created by John Palmer, it contains almost everything you want to know about the town and its people of a bygone age.
