I think harassing Miss Thompson is one of the longest standing Wiley
traditions. I remember shaking the floors, but I got in the most trouble
when she had to leave the room one day, and put me in charge of the class.
Naturally I dismissed the class, and the room was empty when she returned.
I spent a little time in Si Proffits office for that one.

>We did that in '59 too - in Miss Thompson's class.. Also shaking the
room. You'd press your knees up under those desks quite hard and
then shake your legs. The force would be transmitted to those old Wiley
floors and shake the whole place. Everyone could feel it, all across the
room - which, naturally, increased its entertainnment value.

>Miss Thompson could too. She'd just get so she had figured out who was
doing it and that person would them stop and someone else, in another part
of the room, would start up.

much since then. For example, once in New York, while the Chairman was
down doing his annual stint in St. Johns, we bricked up the doorway to his
office.
