1791JUNE9 - Born In Georgia,  Wilkes County.  
       (See BIBLE records of JESSE PETERS and REBECCA BORN PETERS)

1812 - Applied For Headright Grant
 
1813 - On August 23, enlisted as a Private in Capt. Wm. Fords's Company,
       Georgia Militia. At the time he was a resident of Oglethorpe Co., Ga.
       He was detached as a carpenter and helped to build Forts, Hawkins, 
       Hull and Mitchell.
       He was involved in THE BATTLE OF CALABEE on January 27, 1814, a 
       decisive victory for the CREEK INDIANS.

1813-1822 Appears on tax rolls for OGLETHORPE County, continually.

1814 - On March 9, Discharged from service at Milledgeville, Ga, having 
       served for 197 days.
       On December 8,1814 Married  REBECCA MILLER BORN by SHAM GOSS, M.G.In
       Oglethorpe Co., Ga.
       REBECCA was the daughter of JOHN BORN and his wife MARY _________.

1817 - Recieved Headright Grant.

1819 - On the first monday in July, Posted $100 Bond for JESSE PETERS SR.
       To act as administrator of the Estate of ELIJAH PETERS
       (See Estate records of ELIJAH PETERS, OGLETHORPE Co, Ga)

1820 - U.S Census for OGLETHORPE Co., Ga - Not listed as Head Of Household,
       but is most likely included in the Enumeration of JESSE PETERS SR.
       (See Chronology of JESSE PETERS, R.S.)  JESSE (JR.) was married and 
       had issue by this date, but appears on no other county cesus for this
       year.
       Also, he appears on the OGLETHORPE Co., Ga. tax lists continually 
       1813 through 1824. In 1820 he paid the head tax only.

1827 - GEORGIA LAND LOTTERY - A resident of Newton Co.,OGLETHORPE Co.,Ga.
       he drew LEE CO. Listed as a soldier (WAR OF 1812)

       On November 5, as a resident of GWINNETT CO., he applied for bounty
       land under ACT of 1850. (Entitlement as a soldier in THE WAR OF 1812)

1851 - On March 26, Warrent #2789 issued for 80 acres of Bounty Land
       located in ALABAMA, COUNTY UNKNOWN. (Legal description:  Sect 11,
       Township 22, Range 21)  Apparently this land was disposed of by 1855.
                                                                                                                
1855 - Filed Declaration to obtain additional Bounty Land (Under Act of
       1855?) Records indicate he recieved 80 more acres, location unknown.

1860 - U.S. Census for GWINNETT CO., GA - Listed as Head of Household:

      (YELLOW RIVER POST OFFICE)

1871 Applied for and recieved a pension for his service during THE WAR
     OF 1812 (Act Of 1871). His pension consisted of $8.00 per month,
     Certificate #11358.  He was a resident of GWINNETT CO. at the time of
     application.  (All records on file - National Archives)

1871-1873 Rebecca died sometime between December 18, 1871 and December 19,
     1873. (Based upon GWINNETT Co, Deed Records, Book R, PP. 438 and 439.)                

1877 - On May 1, JESSE died in GWINNETT CO., Place of burial is unknown.
