MAILS FOR 1847.
The arrangement for arrival and despatch of the Post
Office Mails, at Melbourne, in 1847, is as follows, viz :-

ARRIVAL.
From Sydney, (overland), by way of Yass, Albury, Ovens,
Broken River, Seymour, and Kilmore, every Monday
and Thursday, at half-past 4 o'clock, p.m.
From Portland, (overland), by way of the Grange, Fiery
Creek, Bunnenyong, and Ballan, every Thursday at noon ;
and by way of the Grange, Fiery Creek, and Geelong,
every Monday afternoon (per steamer).
From Port Fairy (overland), by way of Fiery Creek and
Bunnenyong, every Thursday, at noon; and, by way of
Fiery Creek and Geelong, every Monday afternoon (per
steamer).
From Geelong, daily (Sundays excepted), per steamers.
From Mount Macedon, every Thursday, at half-past 5
o'clock p.m.
From Alberton, by vessels as opportunities offer.
Mails are received from England, other Ports, the neigh-
bouring Colonies, Sydney, and towns on the coast, by
vessels as opportunities offer.

DESPATCH.
For Sydney, (overland), by way of Kilmore, Seymour,
Broken River, Ovens, Albury, and Yass, every Tuesday
and Friday, at quarter to 2 o'clock p.m.
For Portland (overland), by way of Ballan, Bunnenyong,
Fiery Creek, and the Grange, every Friday, at quarter to
10 o'clock a.m.; and by way of Geelong, Fiery Creek,
and the Grange, every Monday, at quarter to 6 o'clock p.m.
For Port Fairy (overland), by way of Bunnenyong and Fiery
Creek, every Friday, at quarter to 10 o'clock a.m. ; and
by way of Geelong and Fiery Creek, every Monday, at
quarter to 6 o'clock p.m.
For Geelong, daily (Sundays excepted), per steamers, at
quarter-past 6 o'clock a.m.
For Mount Macedon, every Saturday, at 6 o'clock a.m.
For Alberton, by vessels as opportunities offer.
Mails are despatched for England, other ports, neighbouring
Colonies, Sydney, and Towns on the coast, by vessels as
opportunities offer.
