My grandfather was Dr. James Henry Wynne McDermott, the wonderful country doctor of Golden Lake and Res , also practiced in Killaloe and Barry's Bay and in the countryside...his wife,my grandmother Nina Mary George McDermott. Their children - Gil McDermott, my beloved lost uncle, my dear childhoods at Golden Lake and in Ottawa (for a time) Michael, Marsha,Kathleen and Gayle. Aunt - Grace. Father - Wynne McDermott. Aunt -Keitha McDermott (Crighton -their late sister also and Anna McDermott - Nina's little three year old daughter who passed away from pneumonia. My grand aunt was Aunt Josie McPherson who lived near Nanno on Carling Ave. Ottawa. Please get Mike to write me very soon.I'm coming home.
