My Husbands Great-Grandfather is Oscar Taylor, born 22 Apr 1879 in Piatt County, Ill. He married Mary Etta Kindel in 1896. He died 23 Oct 1948 in Macon County and is buried in Harshbarger Cemetery in Atwood, Piatt County, Illinois. I have been unable to find out who his parents were. She died in 1956 and was from Tolono, Illinois, I have no other info on her either, I need some help.

I am looking for living family whose ancestor was Harry John Joseph Taylor who married Margaret Ann Fitzgeral in May 1891 in Battersea London. They had around seven children. My father Robert John Taylor was their youngest child. His siblings that I know of are Margaret, Thomas, Teresia Grace and Mabel who married Stephen Percival Pope and had one son I know of named THOMAS HARRY POPE who married Jean Leonora Barlow on December 24, 1960. I'm researching my maternal grandmothers' family. Her mother's name was Mamie Taylor. Mamie was born approx. 1896. She married a Pervis Neal and had 2 daughters. My grandmother, Lucille Jones was the eldest daughter. It has been said that Mamie was a singer of possibly blues/jazz. Mamie migrated from North Carolina to New York City. My 4th great grand father Josiah Taylor Migrated to Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Texas settling in the Green DeWitt colony in DeWitt County Texas in 1828. He lists his father as James Taylor of Virginia. I can't find much on James. I think he was the son of William Taylor and Sahah Garrett Foster. Am searching for ancestory, and am realy lost can't get past my own father. His name Curtis E.(Pete. His parents Charles H. (Hiram, I think) and Hattie E. (Evelyn, I think) Stringfellow. From ? Married? Lived in Bluff Springs, Fla. Several children, Doris, Curtis, Douglas, Buster, and more. I know at one time they moved to Tex and some of the grandchildren are in the area. Amos R. Taylor md. Sophronia "Icie" Newborn March 18, 1900 in Wayne Co., Tn. They were listed on the 1900 Wayne Co. Census. They became lost shortly after the census. Taylor,Alma Belle b 1908 and married Robert S. Phillips b June 16, 1914, marriage date June 8, 1940. Abel married Anne Mary Cockshott; Charles married Margaret (perhaps Cole); Clifton married Elizabeth Stone. No info on the other children. James Benjamin Taylor had a brother Daniel, also an upholsterer. Their parents believed to be Benjamin Taylor and Amelia Hawkins, married at St. Clement Danes in 1770. Any help very much appreciated. Recently discovered that my g-g-g-g-grandfather was JOHN TAYLOR. He was born in Winchester, Virginia on March 27th, 1792. Served in the War of 1812. Married Elizabeth Murphy. Moved to Missouri in 1819 and then on to Oregon in 1847 where he died on October 25th, 1870. I am descended from his son Hiram. Josiah Taylor was my third great-grandfather who married Hephzebeth Luker in Clarke County, Georgia, in 1807. According to the Atascosita Census of 1826, Texas, he was born in Virginia about 1781. He died about 1830. He first came to Texas in 1812 as a Captain in the Gutierrez-Magee Expedition which was an attempt to free Mexico from Spain. He returned to Georgia for his family, arriving to stay in 1811- 1812. Recent DNA study indicates that he might have come from a family originally in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, rather than early Taylor settlers in Virginia. Be glad to share more information if anyone finds such pertinent.

After gainning his freedom he married a woman by the named of "Manda" and mirated to the 7th Ward Clairboune, Louisanna where he changed his surname to "Taylor" after the Taylor Family" whom he was a "sharcropper" for. Hi, I am trying to search for a long lost great-great-grandfather who disappeared. His name was JOHN TAYLOR, born 1870 in Glasgow, Scotland to parents DAVID TAYLOR and MATILDA GRIBBONS and he was married to KATHLEEN NICHOLSON. They had one daughter a KATHLEEN MARY TAYLOR in 1899. He worked as an accountant and I know for certain he was still in Scotland in 1911. Sometime after this he vanished, and the story was that he was heading to Australia to start a new life where he would send word to his family to join him, but he was never heard of again. He may have died en route, may have not gone to Australia or could have gone and just started a new life alone, I don't know. I am trying to locate genealogy regarding my grandfather. I have very little information available. His name is Roy Junior Taylor and he was born in West Virginia on an unknown date, but he would've been 22 years old in January of 1958. I know that in 1958 he was in the Marine Corps. His parents, both born in West Virginia, were Lee Roy Taylor and Louise McDaniel (maiden name). Supposedly, my grandfather was/is of Native American descent.
