Seventeen ton M-4 Prime Mover with a fifteen ton Howitzer in tow and gun crew aboard. This combined unit was capable of speeds of 35 miles per hour on the highway.

Enjoy reading these official documents. ………They chronicle the movements of the 736th from 7 August 1944…….the day it landed on Utah Beach at Normandie, France…….until 16 May 1945, although they received word that the enemy had surrendered unconditionally, effective 0001 9 May 1945. A GLORIUS DAY INDEED !
