“A. D. Edgerton” was recorded along with his father, Nathaniel Edgerton, as a voter in the first election held at Plain Township in March of 1835.  Abraham was town clerk in 1842 and also enumerated the school census (taken October 1 – October 20) of the same year.

 

Abraham Edgerton was recorded in the 1850 Federal Census of Plain Township, Wood County, Ohio (pg. 309; dwelling #669; family #691; enum. September 6, 1850).  He was residing in the household of Philip Condit, which was enumerated as follows:

June 21, 1870), and was enumerated as “A. D. Edgerton, aged 56, born in New York, no occupation”.
