The following obituary for Mrs. Mary Brewster (Dickson) Edgerton was published in The Oneonta Herald on June 6, 1869:

 

“DIED –  At Manteno, Ill., 20th ult., in the 22d year of her age, Mary Brewster, wife of A. D. Edgerton, late of Ninevah, Broome Co.”

According to the above census record, Deborah was the mother of three children, all of whom were still living; and Mable was the mother of one child.  Albert’s occupation was listed as “agent insurance”, and Claude was listed as a “jeweler”.  The family was living at 25 Basker Avenue.  The household also included one servant, Rose Wright.
