According to the above record, Georgiana was the mother of one child, who was still living.  [This was the “Chas. A. Edgerton”, whose household was enumerated next on the census roll.]  Albert’s occupation was listed as “machinist auger shop”.

Albert H. Edgerton applied for a Civil War Pension (an invalid claim) on Sept. 24, 1890.  The application, filed from Massachusetts, cited Albert’s service in the 42nd Massachusetts Infantry.  The representing attorney was H. H. Dudley.  Albert’s widow, “Georgianna L. Edgerton”, applied for a widow’'s pension on August 15, 1910; she was then residing in Massachusetts.  The representing attorney was again listed as H. H. Dudley.  (see National Archives Pension Applications; Application #938957, Certificate #669998; and Application #947474, Certificate #710816)
