According to the above census record, Melinda was the mother of three children, two of whom were still living.  Albert’s occupation was listed as “farmer” and T. Hollingsworth was listed as a “farm laborer”.  At the time of this census, Albert was residing nearby his younger brother, George C., whose household was recorded on the same page of the census roll (dwelling #87; family #87).  Albert’s sisters Lucy R. (Edgerton) Brink and Esther C. Edgerton, were also residing in Meckling at this time, and his eldest brother, Reuben Harrison was living in nearby Prairie Center.
